Zyemtsev, Kraft take Louisville

Viktor Zyemtsev ran down long time race leader Luke McKenzie with a blistering 2:43:44 marathon to capture the 2009 Ford Ironman Louisville by 34 seconds. Nina Kraft had to reel in Lisbeth Kristensen in a similar fashion to take the women's title.

Timberman to Potts, Wellington

2007 70.3 World Champion Andy Potts captured the 2009 Ironman 70.3 Timberman event with a race best 1:16:20 run. 2-time Ironman World Champion Chrissie Wellington held off a hard charging Catriona Morrison to win the women's race.

Bozzone, Bentley rule Cobra 70.3

2008 70.3 World Champion Terenzo Bozzone held off 2008 Ironman World Champion Chris McCormack to win the 2009 Cobra 70.3 Philippines in a time of 3:51:25. The women's title was taken by Lisa Bentley in 4:24:29.
